Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Tigrus AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The service is operated by Tigrus AI LLC, a Texas limited liability company.

2. Description of Service

Tigrus AI is a study companion designed to help students organize study materials and use learning techniques including spaced repetition, active recall, and the Feynman technique.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of notes, content, and materials you create or upload. You grant Tigrus AI a limited license to store and process that content to provide the service.

5. Acceptable Use

Use Tigrus AI only for lawful purposes. Do not store or share content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Tigrus AI is free to use and includes a limited monthly AI allowance. Paid plans are optional and are purchased on tigrus.ai through our payment processor, Stripe. Purchases are not made through the Apple App Store, and Apple is not a party to them.

Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, at the price shown at checkout: Starter $7 per month or $60 per year, Learner $14 per month or $120 per year, and Scholar $28 per month or $240 per year. Applicable sales tax may be added at checkout.

SUBSCRIPTIONS RENEW AUTOMATICALLY. Your plan renews at the end of each billing period and the payment method on file is charged the then-current price, until you cancel. We email you before a plan is due to end.

You may cancel at any time from Manage Subscription in the app or on the website. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep full access until that date and are not charged again. Your notes, decks, quizzes, and mind maps are never deleted when a plan ends. The account simply returns to the free plan.

Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@tigrus.ai and we will review it.

We may change plan prices. A change applies only to billing periods beginning after we notify you, never retroactively, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

7. Artificial Intelligence

Tigrus AI uses third-party artificial intelligence providers to generate flashcards, practice questions, summaries, mind maps, and transcriptions. When you use an AI feature, the content you submit for that request is sent to those providers so a result can be returned.

We do not sell your content and we do not use it to train our own models. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Verify anything you rely on for coursework, exams, or decisions that matter.

8. Privacy

Review the Privacy Policy to understand how information is collected, used, and protected.

9. Intellectual Property

Tigrus AI and its original content, features, and functionality are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

Tigrus AI is provided as is without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms and notify users of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access for conduct that violates these terms or is harmful to users or third parties.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Texas law. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Travis County, Texas, except qualifying small claims.
